Shanaz is the Co-Founder & Executive Advisor at ZenBusiness, a digital business management platform that provides budding entrepreneurs with a complete set of services to simplify the process of starting, managing, and growing their business. Until recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for keeping the company moving forward and running smoothly, by overseeing the day-to-day operations of this fast-growing company, which has become one of Austin’s most successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Throughout her career, Shanaz has worked to create a positive social impact. This shows up in her belief that diverse perspectives create greater innovation. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, Shanaz implemented a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy at ZenBusiness, achieving nearly 50% female representation in staff and management.

She is passionate about and renowned for accelerating business growth through technology and identifying and nurturing talent.  She also stays active with different companies as a board member or advisor,and also enjoys mentoring.

Her leadership at Excite.com, HomeAway, ZenBusiness, and more have earned her a placement on Inc.'s Female Founders List for 2025, the Silver Stevie® Award for Female Executive of the Year in 2024, and the "Entrepreneurial Vision" award at the 2023 Greater Austin Business Awards.

She is a graduate of UT Austin with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
