Academy of Distinguished Alumni of Texas ECE
As a way of recognizing the accomplishments and careers of our outstanding alumni, the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering established the Academy of Distinguished Alumni. The Academy recognizes distinguished alumni who are dedicated engineering professionals, leaders of industries, and avid supporters of higher education.
External Advisory Committee
The External Advisory Committee (EAC) is comprised of leaders in academia and industry who support excellence in engineering education. The committee meets twice a year to provide counsel and help the department achieve its strategic goals. Committee members assist in promoting academic excellence, recruiting quality students, fostering professional and peer recognition of faculty, and interacting with the student-faculty-administrative-alumni community.
Giving
Every year, gifts from alumni, parents, faculty, staff and others provide a vital stream of flexible funding that sustains and enhances the Texas ECE student experience. The Cockrell School's generous annual fund supporters help to strengthen our academic programs and address immediate needs in the school and departments.
