John Sheputis is a prominent data center executive, entrepreneur, and real estate investor with over 20 years of experience in digital infrastructure. His commercial and technical contributions include helping establish several major U.S. data center markets, advancing sustainable construction and operations, and driving early adoption of renewable energy and environmental accountability.
He earned his BSEE from The University of Texas at Austin and holds both a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the McCormick School of Engineering and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
John is a Partner and Co-Founder at Primary Digital Infrastructure. He previously served as Managing Director at GI Partners, President of Infomart Data Centers, and CEO of Fortune Data Centers. Over the past two decades, these organizations have collectively developed, acquired, leased, and financed more than $20 billion in data center transactions.
Outside of his professional work, he has also been active in his community, serving on his local Little League Board for 11 years and managing more than 20 teams over that time. He currently serves on the Board of the Silicon Valley Urban Debate League, which supports low- and middle-income students in reaching their full professional potential.
Dating back to his time on the 40 acres, John has long supported the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Cockrell School of Engineering. He and his wife, Susie, have made personal contributions to the Cockrell School through a Texas Challenge Scholarship, aiding 12 low- and middle-income students to pursue their engineering education.
