Deepu Talla serves as Vice President of Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA, where he leads the deployment of AI technology in autonomous machines and intelligent devices, including humanoids, industrial robots, autonomous mobile robots, intelligent video analytics, and factory automation. Over the past decade, he has helped shape NVIDIA’s physical AI and robotics platforms, such as NVIDIA Isaac, NVIDIA Metropolis, and NVIDIA Jetson.
Previously, Deepu headed NVIDIA’s mobile business unit, steering the Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) portfolio into smartphones, tablets, and portable gaming devices, notably powering the Nintendo Switch generation.
Before joining NVIDIA in 2013, Deepu spent over ten years at Texas Instruments in technical leadership and executive management roles. As Chief Architect, he developed advanced multimedia SoCs for digital cameras and portable media players, innovations that paved the way for the widespread adoption of modern SoCs in smartphones and computers.
Deepu earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2001), a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University (1998), and an undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Andhra University, India (1996).
