Texas ECE alumnus Bei Yu has been awarded the 2022 IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA) Ernest S. Kuh Early Career Award. The IEEE CEDA Ernest S. Kuh Early Career Award honors an individual who has made innovative and substantial technical contributions to the area of Electronic Design Automation in the early stages of his or her career. Bei is the first winner of this award from the Asian and South Pacific regions.
Bei Yu is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a member of Deep Vision Lab. He received his PhD from the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2014 where he was supervised by Dr. David Z. Pan.
