Three UT ECE professors have been elevated to IEEE Fellow for 2014. Prof. Andrea Alù, Prof. David Pan and Prof. Sanjay Shakkottai were all recently named as newly elevated 2014 IEEE Fellows in recognition of the contributions to their respective areas.
Prof. Andrea Alù, the David & Doris Lybarger Endowed Faculty Fellow in Engineering, was elevated to IEEE Fellow for "contributions to the theory and applications of electromagnetic metamaterials and plasmonic phenomena."
Prof. David Pan, the Earl N. & Margaret Brasfield Endowed Faculty Fellow in Engineering, was elevated to IEEE Fellow for "contributions to design for manufacturability in integrated circuits."
Prof. Sanjay Shakkottai, the Engineering Foundation Centennial Teaching Fellow in Engineering, was elevated to IEEE Fellow for "contributions to the modeling, design, and analysis of wireless networks."
