UT ECE Alum Brett Paulson Receives Cockrell School of Engineering Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award

UT ECE alumnus Brett Paulson has been named the recipient of the Cockrell School of Engineering Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award for 2014.

Established in 1991, the Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award (OYEG) recognizes rising stars of Cockrell School alumni under the age of 40. Honorees are selected for their early outstanding professional achievements, dedication to public service and support of higher education. Including this year’s honoree, 27 alumni have received this award.

Brett holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UT Austin and an MBA from Stanford.  Currently the Vice President of Sales for Ketra, Brett also sits on the Electrical and Computer Engineering External Advisory Committee, recently joined the Cockrell School’s Longhorn Engineering Advisory Delegation as an inaugural member, and has served on the UT Silicon Valley Advisory Committee for the past 4 years. Brett is working on an initiative to help find internship opportunities at startups in Silicon Valley and since his move to Austin is working on building connections locally with startups to broaden those opportunities.
