Zhili Xiong, a Ph.D. student in Texas ECE, recently received the Best Paper Award at the 32nd IEEE International Symposium On Field-Programmable Custom Computing Machines (FCCM) for her work on "A Data-Driven, Congestion-Aware and Open-Source Timing-Driven FPGA Placer Accelerated by GPUs."

Texas ECE PhD student Jack Kramer has received the Best Student Paper Award from the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) 2023 for his work on "Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Acoustic Resonator with High Q of 237 and k2 of 5.1% at 50.74 GHz.”

PhD candidate Yuqiang (Ethan) Heng and Prof. Jeff Andrews have received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Global Communications Conference 2022 (Globecom) for their paper "Grid-less mmWave Beam Alignment through Deep Learning."
