Antenna Auto ID

John Deere tractors utilize a two-module system that allows their tractors to receive and interpret geographical data from GPS satellites. This system includes an antenna module, a receiver module, and a coaxial cable that connects them. Each antenna has a QR code encoded with the antenna’s serial number and calibration data which is then printed onto the antenna module.

The primary objective of the system design is to demonstrate the ability to digitalize this process within the antenna module instead of a QR code sticker. In this proposed new system, the antenna data would be stored digitally within the antenna module. The antenna data would be sent to the receiver module upon request without compromising the functionality of the preexisting antenna module.
