Secure Cosmos Custodial Wallet

More than 21 million people use MetaMask each month. However, MetaMask lacks integrations with many cryptocurrency denominations beyond Ethereum-based tokens. This forces users to switch between a variety of wallets and products in order to manage their assets. Utilizing the infrastructure provided by MetaMask Snaps, team SP10 has constructed a custodial wallet allowing users to manage any tokens on the Cosmos Network. This gives users a secure method to access and transact with over 274 services and types of tokens.

Smart Thermostat with Integrated Occupancy Sensor

Smart Thermostat with Integrated Occupancy Sensor is a building energy management system designed to reduce energy waste in buildings by turning off power to unused devices while not being used. Our project uses a combination of wireless occupancy sensors and scheduling software to determine when appliances need to be active. Appliances considered for our project were HVAC systems and lighting, but our control approach can be applied to any other machinery or equipment used in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Repetio: Spaced Repetition Web App

Repetio is a Spaced Repetition Web App designed to help users improve flashcard memorization. The application is designed to make the learning process more efficient and effective by showing the users different flashcards at specific time intervals in order to improve recall. With Repetio, users can create accounts with their own flashcard decks and cards. As users study the flashcards, metadata is tracked by the machine learning model which uses user performance and history to gauge when a card should be presented to the user again.

User-Based Visual Product Search using Deep Learning

This project aims to perform clothing classification using MobileNetV2 CNNs and display related clothing items to the user through a mobile iOS application. Unlike conventional visual product search in the market that uses feature similarity to do the visual search, our project uses 3 convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to do a visual search and enable users to find related products with different user-specified attributes.

HUDSet

HUDSet (Heads-Up-Display headset) is a wearable headset with a built-in heads-up display. The display presents convenient information meant to accommodate the user throughout their day. These features include the date, time, weather, temperature, a music library, face recognition, and GPS – all designed to be available when the user needs them

UT Research Portal

While The University of Texas at Austin provides students with endless opportunities to join research labs and ongoing projects, there is currently no set standard way for students to search and apply to research positions. The current way students find research opportunities is largely via email communication with professors or by searching for opportunities on Eureka, etc. While Eureka is certainly helpful for searching for research opportunities, there is currently no standardized way to search and apply for research on campus.

Body Synth

The Body Synth is a device that we designed and created as a means of alternative inputs for a synthesizer in order to create music. We feel that current synthesizers limit physician expression in artistic performance, so we created handheld controllers that are motion controlled in order to create a more expressive performance style for the artist. It is a handheld controller with button inputs and motion controls in order to play notes or sounds.

Circles: A Social Meet-up App

Circles is a new social media application that is perfect for your flakiest friend or the most social butterfly. With our app you can organize your friends into different "circles" of shared interest. When you create a new event, decide which circles to invite. You also have the option of allowing your friends’ friend list to be invited to your event! Say goodbye to tons of different group chats or gcals, and say hello to circles.

Photonic Tensore Cores for Edge Compute

Machine learning (ML) models today are computationally expensive, requiring thousands of matrix multiplications during training. The most common way to address this is to offload them to a specially designed electronic accelerator. While these are substantially faster than general purpose CPUs, power consumption and heat emissions increase as models scale in complexity. Photonics is an emerging technology that uses light to operate at significantly higher speeds and efficiency than electronics.
