Smart Thermostat with Integrated Occupancy Sensor is a building energy management system designed to reduce energy waste in buildings by turning off power to unused devices while not being used. Our project uses a combination of wireless occupancy sensors and scheduling software to determine when appliances need to be active. Appliances considered for our project were HVAC systems and lighting, but our control approach can be applied to any other machinery or equipment used in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
