Prof. Jacob Abraham of Texas ECE has been named the recipient of the 2019 European Design and Automation Association (EDAA) Achievement Award. The award will be presented at the Design, Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) conference in Florence, Italy on March 25-29, 2019.
The Achievement Award is given to individuals who made outstanding contributions to the state of the art in electronic design, automation and testing of electronic systems in their life. In order to be eligible, candidates must have made innovative contributions which had an impact on the way electronic systems are being designed.
Prof. Abraham joins a distinguished group of pioneers in circuits design who have received the award, including Ernest Kuh, Jan Rabaey, Melvin A. Breuer, Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli, Rolf Ernst, Giovanni de Micheli and Mary Jane Irwin.
EDAA pursues educational, scientific and technical activities to the benefit of the international community of electronic design and design automation. It organizes, across Europe, a series of highly qualified technical international conferences and workshops in the field of design and design automation of electronic circuits and systems.
