Profs. de Veciana and Vikalo Receive NSF Grant to investigate Visibility and Interactive Information Sharing in Collaborative Sensing Systems

The proposed research effort will "advance the state-of-the-art in collaborative sensing systems which are expected to benefit the field and society more broadly, through planned efforts in education innovation, achieving diversity, engaging the community and industry, and disseminating results to a wider public."


Prof. Seth Bank Awarded Prestigious NSF Quantum Information Programs

Prof. Alex Dimakis Receives 2018 IEEE Information Theory Society James L. Massey Award

Prof. Robert Heath Receives IEEE Communication Theory Technical Committee (CTTC) Service Award

The award recognizes members of the Communication Theory Technical Committee (CTTC) of the IEEE Communications Society who have "a distinguished record of service to the CTTC community, including CTTC symposia and workshop organization, leadership roles within the CTTC, and promoting CTTC activities and interests in the broader research community."


Solar Energy Storage Problem May be Solved in New Single-System Technology

Teaxs ECE Prof. Alex Huang, who directs the Semiconductor Power Electronics Center in the Cockrell School and works with the UT Center for Electromechanics, is the lead principal investigator for this DOE-funded project. He believes the M4 Inverter will create efficiencies in a variety of ways.
