The ECE Department’s mission is to provide an environment that welcomes and values individuals from all backgrounds and worldviews and where our entire ECE community can thrive.

The critical success factors for advancing the Texas ECE Interconnected Community Strategy include:

ECE Community Identity and Values

Be recognized as a leader in promoting equitable access, fostering broad representation, and encouraging active engagement from all stakeholders.

ECE Community Access, Participation, and Success

Ensure every Texas ECE stakeholder is motivated and equipped to successfully engage with the ECE community.

ECE Community Future

Extend Texas ECE community values beyond time on the forty acres for all stakeholders.

Actively and continually listen to our Texas ECE stakeholders to understand the community engagement needed.

Amp It Up

Increase the connectivity and collaboration between ECE stakeholders, increase the vitality of the Texas ECE Community, and establish the ECE Community as vital to all stakeholders.

We are all “IN”

Transform the Texas ECE Community into a culture of openness and belonging through extended mentorship programs.

ECE Community in the Classroom

Improve each stakeholder’s academic experience, professional growth, and sense of belonging by connecting and engaging students, staff, and faculty within the classroom.

ECE Forever

Extend the continuum of participation and belonging in the Texas ECE Community through maintaining connections with alumni and supporters.
